SUMMER READING AND NEW CALENDAR

Hi friends of the blog!
I would like to let you know about our Teen Summer Reading Program.
You probably know about it - since we do it every year.
If you haven't picked up your reading log at the library, you can also download them on the internet. It's so easy and the prizes are awesome!

The other thing I'd like to talk about is the new calendar that is now up on the blog.
I had few people asking me about programs, so I created a calender and put all the teen programs on there. I hope you like this new feature.

Any feedback on anything?
Love to hear from you.

Dominique
Ready, Set, Go!
Happy reading!

  3. Hi Jaz and Anonymous - welcome! Hope you will sign up for the Summer Reading Program soon.

    Summer Reading is FREE.
Teen summer reading is for ages 12 and up (or grade 5 finished and up) - you read 30 min. a day for 10 days and you are done with level 1. After you are done with level 1 continue with level 2 and 3. You can read any book or listen to any book on CD - doesn't have to be a library book. After you are done with level 1 you can come to the library and claim your prize plus two tickets for the drawing. These tickets you can put into the teen drawing box to win more prizes.
    Drawings:
Fridays, June 12, June 26, July 10 and July 24
Drawing Prizes Include: YMCA passes, Wahooz passes, Western Fair Admissions, Roaring Springs passes, Cracker Barrel meal, Shankz Glow Mini-Golf passes, Thunder Mountain Train Ride, and Souper!Salad! Meal.

Sooo....the more you read the better the chances for the drawing. If you are a "marathon reader" = you read definitely more than 30 min. a day, write your your extra time down in the boxes on the right. For every 5 hours you will get two extra tickets to put in the drawing box. If you still have questions, please call the library or ask specifically for me and I'd be more than happy to go over it with you. Or just stop by!
You can download your reading log (to keep track of your reading time) from the website under "teen" or you can pick it up at the library. You need to come down to the library to claim your prizes and to register. With registration you will get a coupon from SportsClips for a free haircut.

Don't forget the first drawing is coming this Friday 6/12!!! Make sure you have level 1 accomplished by then!
